Thank you to those of you that gave us a Yelp review in response to last month’s newsletter. To our other clients, thank you for continuing to spread the word about E-Geniuses. We want to provide you with the best service possible, which is why we offer maintenance plans, follow up service and appointment programs. We have these tools readily available to fit your needs. Our goal is to provide you with an experience which will be different from all others and second to none. Our reputation is built on relationships and the customer service we provide. E-Geniuses builds relationships through communication and trust. We provide our clients with honest service and this enables us to find a solution to their problem.

We would like to thank you for giving us the confidence to pursue more ideas on how to improve our service and the motivation to become better. It can be difficult at times to recreate ideas and critique methods that we’ve used in the past. However, thanks to the trust and loyalty we have with our clients, difficult decisions become easier to make. Even with the struggling economy, E-Geniuses will provide the same excellent service to our clients. We are very passionate about our service and we love to hear input on ways to improve. If I have not stressed enough already, thank you to all of you for making us a better company.

The E-Geniuses Face Lift

We here at E-Geniuses strive for excellence in the application of great customer service and satisfaction. Joey and I are always in search of new ways to help our company grow and to continue moving in a positive direction. We have held multiple company meetings to discuss strategy and to weigh our available options in hopes of making our services more efficient and readily accessible for our clients.

First, we would like to introduce our newest technician, Jimmy Urias, and welcome him to the E-Geniuses Family. We were searching for an employee that was not only competent in computer technology but also a person who strives to provide excellent customer satisfaction. Jimmy really impressed us with his work ethic, skills as a technician, and willingness to learn more. He is the embodiment of what we expect from all of our employees. He meets our standard of service for our clients. Jimmy will be handling most of the clients that walk into our shop and assisting Joey and myself whenever possible. Also, he will be the main technician working on the computers of our monthly maintenance clients.

Second, we have implemented a program known as Appointy into our company procedures. Appointy enables our clients to choose their own appointment date and to see an approximate time of how long each service will take. Our follow up procedures have not changed. I will personally keep the client informed on the progression of service on their computer. Additionally, Appointy will also make it easier for our clients to give us feedback and rate our services.

Lastly, we have decided to extend our business hours and we are now open on Saturdays. We realize that weekdays can be a little hectic and our clients may not be able to bring in their computers during business hours. Our extended weekday hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM. Our Saturday hours are from 10 AM to 6 PM. With these added elements, E-Geniuses hopes to serve you more efficiently and effectively.

E-Geniuses realizes the importance of building good relationships with people. Whether relationships are built on a personal level or business level, our values and methods still remain the same. Our business is based on a foundation designed to stand the test of time. It is based on our core values. It is the same foundation that determines our character as individuals. I can honestly say that since I have been here, my life has changed dramatically. I have a new found respect for the idea of “work” now that I have found a company that values the effort and energy I put into caring for others. I was given an opportunity to share some of  my “methods of care” in last month’s newsletter, “Core Values and Customer Care,” which was one of our best newsletters to date (based on open rates.)

Opportunities arise everyday to practice the act of caring. It’s in the smallest details that one expresses their care for others. It’s as simple as being a good friend, listening,  having  a shoulder to cry on. All of these things may or may not translate into monetary value but it does define a person’s character.

Caring affects everyone involved in a positive way. We have found that the more you show you care about the client, the more they appreciate the service you give them. It also works the other way around. The more we see the positive effect we have on our clients, the more effort we put in to perfecting our services. The same thing happens in our non-business relationships.

At E-Geniuses we have a philosophy of customer care that reflects our family values. Whenever we have a client who needs service, we ask ourselves, “What if this were one of our family members?”  We strive to create a family environment for our clients and employees.  A strong family is built upon strong core values, friendships and care.

It has been a pleasure meeting those of you that I have already met, and for those of you that have not met me yet, I hope to see you and know you by your first name.

Our Guiding Principles

Hello everyone, and happy belated Valentine’s Day.

E-Geniuses is becoming steadily more successful and we have no one to thank but you, our loyal E-Geniuses customers. We have rigorously put in much time and effort in continuing to upgrade our service. In one of our previous meetings, Joey and I discussed and implemented various core values and injected these ideas into our company. We have seen that these core values have had an immediate impact on the success of our business growth, and our character growth.

We use core values, such as, “Think ahead and be proactive,” to help fuel the advancement of our company so that we can provide better service. Those of you who have Monthly Maintenance Plans with us understand the peace of mind that goes with being proactive with your computer system.

Joey and I came together as a team to come up with our core values and principles and we realize that our clients are part of our team as well. We need you to help us in improving our service. We here at E-Geniuses believe in putting our customers first. In order for us to succeed, we understand that we have a responsibility to keep our customers satisfied. We invite all of our customers to give us any feedback so that we can help better our service. This goes along with our value: “Communicate constantly and form partnerships with people you admire.”

It may sound unorthodox, but we are picky about who we keep as clients as well. We prefer to deal with clients who hold similar values, because we believe that together we are all striving to achieve a larger goal. Our purpose as an organization is to help people stay self-informed, entertained and connected through the use of technology. We want to put our focus on others who share a similar vision.

Another core value we live by is: “Appreciate what you have and make the most of it.” One way that we apply this principle is by taking the utmost care of the clients we currently have. We believe that in doing so, business will continue to thrive while being driven in a positive direction.

We want to let you know that we appreciate you as a person, not just as a client. We strive to get to know each client on a personal level as well as a professional one. We guarantee that with your help, E-Geniuses can continue grow and hopefully become a model of how service companies should operate.

2011 is the Year of the Tablet
Happy New Year to everyone. A few years back we wrote an article that was titled “The Year of the Ultra-Portable,” talking about the emergence of netbooks.  Asus started it with their eee PC and other manufacturers jumped on board to capitalize on the growing desire for ultra-portable laptops. Now it is Apple with their iPad that has started the trend. Other manufactures are seeing the demand and want to cash in as well.

Who would want a Tablet PC when we already have desktops, laptops, netbooks and smart-phones?

The answer….a whole lot of people. The reason is that tablets serve a specific purpose as a content consumption device, and it excels at it. Personal computers were created initially to create and edit content from documents, spreadsheets, pictures, music and videos. The high-tech landscape has since expanded because of the the Internet and the almighty Google search engine; content is now readily available for everyone to consume. And with no keyboard or mouse, but a touchscreen instead, a tablet is the perfect device for taking in the vast amount of content created by those using desktops and laptops.
The tablet is all about play. Of course you can work on it also, but that’s not what it is made for. Aside from the fact that having no mouse or keyboard makes a tablet thinner and more portable than a laptop, it also deters workaholics from using them to do work. You can call it a “get away device”. Right now I am in my stateroom on a cruise ship, while others are gambling in the casino and laying out on the sundeck. If I had my tablet with me instead of this laptop, I wouldn’t be here typing this article, and you wouldn’t be reading this.
Expect to see a lot of different tablets coming out within the year. If you are interested in purchasing one feel free to give us a call so we can recommend ones that are right for you. We plan on doing a review of the new tablets and doing some comparisons. We will keep you posted.
