TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I am enthusiastically recommending JOEY MARIANO, Director, e-Geniuses, to anybody interested in excellent, consistent, reliable, and trustworthy computer servicing.

Based on my numerous dealings with him to this date, here are my reasons:

  1. He is KNOWLEDGEABLE.   Joey really seems to know what he is doing.
  2. He is EFFICIENT.  Joey gets to work ASAP and keeps at it until the job is done.
  3. He is HONEST.  Joey doesn’t doubletalk, cheat, or pad his work.  He does what is needed and no more.  And his prices are, in my opinion, reasonable and fair.
  4. He is CLEAR.  Joey doesn’t speak in “computereze” (except sometimes to fellow technicians).  He does not talk “down” to his customers, but talks with them in language ordinary human beings can understand.
  5. He is POLITE and KIND.  Joey treats his customers with respect and consideration.
  6. He is PATIENT and THOROUGH.  Joey always seems to try to answer questions as many times as may be needed, and he keeps working on a problem until it is solved.
  7. He is ACCOMMODATING.  Joey tries to make himself as available to his customers as personally, directly and quickly as he possibly can and to complete every job in as little time as necessary to do it right.
  8. He is FRIENDLY.  Joey has an easygoing personality and believes in treating his customers as he would his own family and friends.
  9. He is REALISTIC.  Joey does not have an arrogant attitude.  When rarely he does not know exactly what a solution might be, he admits it and then searches for the answer.
  10. He has a SENSE OF HUMOR.  Joey does not take himself too seriously and is a pleasure to do business with.
  11. He is SMART, CREATIVE, and “CUTTING-EDGE.”  Joey is always investigating and learning, always open to new ideas, always trying to stay on top of every new development in computer technology and the constantly changing cyberworld.
  12. He is RESPONSIBLE and AMBITIOUS.  Joey takes his work and his customer relationships very seriously and does everything he can to satisfy his own high standards and his customers’ expectations, both in the short term and the long run.

If these aren’t enough reasons, I have others.  I wish you the success with Joey I have had with him.   I am confident he will see his satisfaction only in yours and will do everything he can to achieve that.

Microsoft Security Essentials Review

Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) is a free anti-virus program for Windows computers, offered directly from Microsoft. It is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. MSE provides protection against not only viruses but spyware, rootkits and trojans. It’s important to note that in order to run MSE, you must uninstall any other anti-virus protection your computer has in order to avoid conflicts and a significantly slower system. E-Geniuses prefers to run Microsoft Security Essentials in conjunction with Malwarebytes in order to protect against both viruses and malware.

MSE is the predecessor to Windows Defender and Windows Live OneCare. If you’ve got OneCare, it’s best to uninstall it prior to installing MSE. By default, MSE will disable Windows Defender in the installation process. After installation, you’ll be prompted to update to receive the latest protection definitions, which takes approximately anywhere from 5-15 minutes (depending on connection speed). Once installed, users have the option to run a quick scan or a full scan. Depending on your computers level of infection, a full scan can take anywhere from 35 minutes to more than an hour.

A positive feature of MSE is that it runs efficiently in the background of the computer, only requiring user input when a threat is detected. Updates are published multiple times a day and provides real-time scanning which ensures that your computer is constantly protected. Another feature of MSE is that it will create System Restore points within Windows before removing malware from your system. These System Restore points allow your computer to be rolled back to prior states in case a problem occurs.

Computer Classes in Burbank

E-Geniuses is continuing to serve the community as well as expand our services by offering computer tutoring classes at our Burbank location. There will be a basic and advanced version for each class. Classes that are currently being offered include email, photos, social networking, and internet browsing. “It feels good to give people piece of mind by teaching,” said Joey Mariano, owner of E-Geniuses. Our classes will allow us to interact and actively be involved with our clients, taking it beyond computer repair. Mariano adds, “we want to create good relationships with our neighbors, regardless if they need our services or not.”

In addition to comprehension, the classes aim to help build confidence for those that are not completely comfortable using the computer. Technology is helping the world advance into being more efficient whether you are using it for business, personal use, or recreational purposes. E-Geniuses strives to keep their clients up to date with the technology that will be most useful to them.

“I’ve noticed people are constantly downloading viruses because of lack of knowledge on web browsing safely,” said Mariano. The aim of our internet browsing classes will be to educate and help our clients learn to navigate the web safely. Computer Repair Near Glendale

My computer was infested with viruses, so I looked up computer repair in or around Glendale. That’s when I found out about E-Geniuses in Burbank. Pretty much the next city over! Close enough! Might I add, their services were a higher than some other people I called, but I realized it’s about quality of service over there. They even had a monthly maintenance plan, which of course, I had to sign up on, because it was such a helpful service when I encountered problems. It’s pretty much like having insurance when you need it. I couldn’t thank the guys over at E-Geniuses enough.

Computer Repair in Studio City

Finally a good computer repair near Studio City! I have been to places such as Geek Squad, etc aka “waste of time+money”. Let me tell you, I was impressed by the knowledge of the technicians here at E-Geniuses. Too much “know how” that it was somewhat scary! haha Anyway, I brought my laptop in because it just would not turn on. I had no idea what was wrong w/ it. So I googled computer repair near me in Studio City and called in for live help. Fantastic service as I was set up to come in asap since it was an emergency on my part! I have to say I was in and out of their shop w/ my laptop working in under 15 minutes. Wow! I decided to set up a Monthly Maintenance Plan, which was extremely helpful and saved me money in the long run. I am now a BIG FAN of E-Geniuses!!!
